Anyone ever get a quote from GEICO? Talk about a waste of time. I figured I would use their online quote to compare to our renewal since we added the Cobra to see how they compared. Talk about saving you money.

I answered all of their questions and got down to the end and...
Congratulations, we want you to pay us $2,480.00 MORE than you are paying your current insurance company. :doubt: :rotf: Get Real!

Sure, I'll write you a check today, how about I make it an even $2,500.00 more than my current renewal?

I think they need to change their commercials.

Yep, I did the same a few years back...wanted to see what "savings" I could get. The difference was staggering on how much MORE I'd have to pay if I switched. I stayed with my current insurance company :)

hell, I am very satisfied with my insurance rates on the Cobra. I really thought it was going to be high, being a Cobra, and a convertible. But, much to my surprise, I have a very good rate.

So basically I should have said to GEICO: "So, does this rate mean you are going to give me 2 more Cobras to go with the one I already have?"

Very similar to Allstate. One thing, Tony, AGE has a lot to do with insurance rates. That's what our guy told us when I was surprised by how low the rate was. He may as well have said, "Old people get cheaper rates because they are cautious and SLOW." :doubt: :doubt: Yeah, right!!! :rotf: :rotf: They don't know us!!!! :flash:

We, also have 4 cars insured. 2003 Redfire me as primary driver, 2002 F150 Scott as primary driver, 1999 Sunfire, 21 yr old dgt, 1989 Toyota Corolla, 20 yr old son - total around $3,800/yr  Our kids get an extra discount for having good grades in college, and of course our son has an old clunker!! Those SUV's will kill you on the insurance.
