Considering going with American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels on the Cobra for my street set.
Any comments on the quality of these wheels?
Any idea on if I can get any deals or discounts?

What are the stock specs on the 2003 Cobra for Backspacing, offset, bolt circle, etc, anyway, I can't find this?

What would be a good size to get? front and Rear (please include offset and all specs) ? If I go with the 17X9.5 can I put 275 in front and 315 or higher in the rear?

Please provide any info you can.

I would stick with 17x9's in the front and go with 17x10 in the rear. That should let you run 275's up front and 315's in the rear. Can't remember the backspacing or bolt pattern, but you can call a Ford Parts place and they'll tell ya.

In another life - I was building a pro-street truck (67 Chevy) and had American build a set of Torque Thrust IIs for me. I specified a custom back spacing and they came back beautiful. I did shop around and ended up getting the best deal from the Discount Tire on I-45 near Rankin. The manager is a hot-rodder and even "reference-mounted" my tires when the wheels came (don't know if he's still there).

Should look cool on the Cobra.

I think you can find a better rim than the TT2's. I really don't care for them....see them everywhere on Mustangs. :(

I plan to change to a new set of street wheels also. I am going with the CCW's Well made and look great on Cobras. Henry go to ccwheels.com and check them out. They are not cheap but look really good on our cars. I plan to go wth chrome and black.

Good choice, I like the TT2's, good old school look. Might talk to Arch Angle (Nick) as he has a set on his black 01 & it looks good.

Thanks Carl, those look cool. I'm want the old school muscle car look that I just don't think Mike can understand, White Wheels????

Anyway, sent a PM to Arch Angel, but still would like more feedback on quality and specs if anyone knows them.

As for style, if you don't have anything nice to say........
