I've recently bought an 03 cobra and I am having a lot of fun with it. However, I've noticed that when I start the car when the engine is cold, it takes an unusually long time to start (about 3 seconds cranking). Is that because the starter has to turn the supercharger? If anyone has that problem or knows why it takes a long time to start, please respond. Thanks

No you are not rurning the chsger at start up. My '03 fires right up when I urn the key. Do not press the gas pedal before cranking. Other than that don't know.

Beerkat's car is unique. Most '03 owners I've talked to get 2-3 seconds of cranking before the 'ole 4.6 fires up. Not a problem and only when the motor is cold.
