I see alot of people using the H&R springs and would like to know how they ride? Thinking about lowering my cobra a little. And where is everyone buying them? thanks

I will be putting some lowering springs on my car this summer. What are H&R springs?

I had H&R's on my '95 V6 and really liked them. And then on my '94 GT I put Eibachs on, and I was dissapointed with them. You will be very happy with the H&R's. You can get the H&R's from Maximum Motorsports. When ever I order anything from Maximum Motorsports I order through Brad's Custom Auto. They are on the vendor list if you are a member and you get a discount through them.

Thanks for the replies. I too have tried the Eibach's on a 93 GT and not impressed with the ride. I will check with Maximum on them.

just ordered mine from Tirerack...should be here tomorrow...hope to get them on soon and will let you know how they feel...1.6F and 1.5R...so not too drastic, but will give it a better stance :bounce:

Is the tire rack good to deal with? If you dont mind me asking how much did you give for them?

I have H&R on my '03. They are great. The only problem I have is that with the Bassani exhaust it rides really low. I would suggest some urathane bushings to give a smidge more clearance.

$244 shipped to my door...should be here today...so the Bassani rides low? great, that's what ive got on mine, but will also have the IRS bushings put in at the same time as the springs...so hopefully I wont have any clearance issues

I've got the H&R springs on mine and I ordered mine from http://www.hopupracing.com/hrspspmucogt.html $217 for the springs plus shipping. I love the stance and the ride is better than stock in my opinion!

If you lower a '03 cobra with H&R springs, do you have to do anything about the camber of the wheels? Will it wear the inside of the tire more than the outside?

If you decide to lower your car with any springs I would suggest the Maximum Motorsports Caster/Chamber plates! It will definitely improve the ride and the tire wear!

Also, you should invest in some Full-Length Subframe connectors! You can't go wrong with the MM stuff (maximum motorsports):D

I've got H&R races on mine and thinking of going STIFFER, maybe 1000lb springs up front and 800's in the rear. I recently drove an '04 Viper and it's no comparision, I want THAT type of handling.

I've noticed my car has a tendency to lean a little on turn in. I personally like a flat turning car. A couple of guys at work think it's TOO STIFF... what do they know, they drive trucks and SUV's. ;) :D
