I'm really wanting to get a 2003 Cobra, but I need to know if it can be towed 4 wheels down. I have a motorhome, and need a vehicle to tow behind it. If one of you lucky folks who have a 03 Cobra would please check the owners manual and see what it says about towing, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!!

I have not looked at my manual (I appologize about that) but my opinion on the 03/04 Cobras as far as towing is concerned, It is best to completely trailor it since the car sits too close to the ground. I looked in the manual, under recreational towing, as for guidlines for pulling the vehicle behind a trailor or RV: place transmission in N, maximum speed 35mph, maximum distance is 50 miles. For distance greater than 50 miles and or speeds above 35mph you must remove the driveshaft to prevent drive line damage. There are no recommendations for pulling the car with the rear wheels off the ground. As for wrecker towing, the only recommendation is for flatbed type. All other types are not recommended due to drive line damage or body damage.

I would definitely look in to renting a car hauler to tow it...just for safety reasons...

My father has a class A motor home. He bought a 17ft. car hauler. It has dual 3500lb axles and breaks on one axle. No frills. And it was only $2000.00. This is how he tows his 2003 Thunderbird.
