View Full Version : Anyone ever made their own rear seat delete?

Hey guys and gals. In the near future I will be getting my cage installed. Has anyone ever done their own rear seat delete. I can't see paying $300.00 for something you oughta be able to fabricate yourself. Any help would be a blessing. Thanks.

Don't know about homemade rear seat deletes but a good quality
rear seat delete should only cost $139 without noise dampening material
and $169 with noise dampening material. :D

I'll post web address when I find it.

found it www.partshopper.com

If you got a bud that has one already I'd just rip his out and start tracing. Ive already made my own since im a carpenter/metal worker. Tools were readly avalible to me and i just made my delete out of 14 gauge aluminum / foam weather striping / old hardware from the seats. I own a 96 mystic so i just painted the whole thing with duplicolors mirage purple/green. Pretty happy with the result. But it did take me about 6hrs to fabricate

I have a black one I made for my 98. I'm pretty sure it should fit. It's carpeted and everything in black. Interested?
