Well dang... I knew we probably should have taken pics. I really didn't think about it while we were doing it... I was more concerned with getting the job done and done right in a reasonable fashion. We were still up all night getting everything finished... at least Jason knows how much boost he's making now :D

Greg... I think I can keep up as long as we don't run "highly" illegal speeds. I remember at the event in January at Victory Lane overhearing how you liked to run speeds on the freeway north of 100. As long as you have a good radar detector... I'm game ;)

I have a great Radar Detector...I usually don't run that fast just when ricers think they are going to fly past me! :D ;) My speedo is off about 10% and I have a new program to fix it I just need to get my SCT software reloaded on my new laptop. Maybe if I get that done I won't have an excuse to run so fast! :D

OK, marketing blitz is kick-started. SCMC members, time to send in registration forms for the Parkway show. Not much action recently......I've been out of town on the Hot Rod Power Tour, the biggest car show I've ever seen....2800 cars.

Let's see if we can top 100 this year at Parkway. Registration form is updated, with new options. Check it out and send them in. Yes, I'm now at the new address and phone number on the form.

Time to act, don't procrastinate any longer.

Daily driver cars have to average 10k miles minimum per year. So an 01 (4yrs old) would have to have at least 40,000 miles on it to be in the daily driver at Parkway.

I want to thank John for having the meeting with David today from Parkway Ford. Parkway is one of our best supporters for this club and I hope we will return our gratitude by having a great turnout at the dealership and show them we appreciate the great efforts they put forth for our event.

They are donating their three "track" spots at CMP for next year to some lucky people. Winners for this event includes lunch and an event tee.

I have been told in the past that this event is better then many other events that various clubs put on. No where will you see more SCMC members in one place or as many Cobras in one place in the Triad area. I encourage everyone to make this event and have a good time.

The event includes:

Live band
Free hot dogs and drinks
Multiple event advertising
Cool raffle prizes
50/50 raffle
fun!

Some Raffle prizes for this event include:

SVT Cobra posters (first 25 that preregister for the event)
SVT Cobra Shirts
SVT Cobra Cap

ok, so what I heard wasn't b.s. When I was told that, I said, I don't think so. That is what they do for MCA shows.

Are the '03 / '04 Cobras going to have separate classes or are they going to be all one class like Mooreville?
Just wondering. It doesn't really matter to me anyway. It's going to be fun anyway. I don't think I will win either way we do it.

Sorry, what I meant was is the going to be "stock", "personnalized", and "modified" classes for '03-'04 Cobras or are all the '03s going to be in the same class?

I know this isn't the forsale section, but thought I would give this a try. I am going to the show and will be bringing my 2.2 Kenne Bell Supercharger (black) for '03-04 Cobras that I have forsale. Less than 2000 miles. Includes BAP, KB switch chip and 17 lb pulley. Asking $3150.00. Will also have my '03 SonicBlue '03 Cobra there and it is forsale also.

Thanks

Thanks to all participants who made this an awesome show this year. We had 123 cars and trucks in the show, great weather, live band, multiple radio station remotes, free food, many onlookers. Parkway Ford put a lot of money and time into promoting the show, which brough in lots of people. Many vendors donated so great raffle prizes which people took home with them. Trophies were outstanding.

I want to acknowledge the loyal crew of club members who really helped out with the logistics, registration, judging and running of the event.

John Pearson and Tony did most of the interaction with David Brown from Parkway Ford. They have built a very strong supporting reationship.

Burke Dawson was so helpful in arranging the judging, recruiting willing judges and in securing many raffle prizes and promoting the show. Many thanks to all who helped us with judging over 100 cars to find trophy winners.

Bill Dangerfield and Robbie Helton did another superb job of directing traffic to get participants to their proper spot. Binky Dangerfield, Patty Helton, Lisa Milstead, Mike and Tina Boyle, Maranda Stokes, perhaps others whom I omitted, all were so helpful and diligent in the registration, raffle ticket sales, club merchandise sales and all of the other stuff which had to be done.

When you can get good help, the event gels into a finely oiled machine.

 :D :run: :woot:  :fordflag: :yup:  :clapping:

That was the best car show we have had to date with 123 cars (that's not the official number because I think it may be higher). We actually had to turn 5 people away so we could have hit 130 possibly. It was a ton of fun watching allof those classic Fords coming on the lot. I have 552 pictures on a DVD that Allan Scott made from the event. I'll try to get to some of them this week.

Thanks to the Carolina Region for making this happen! :bounce:
