seems pretty high to me...:dunno:

The Racecraft suspension isn't that great and I'm sure you'd eventually make the switch to MM goodies. Why not get a '95 or '94 Cobra for under 10K and sink about $4K in suspension and some go-fast goodies??? Or even get a nice LX 5.0 and deck that thing out.

The possiblities are endless....but I'd pass on this one man.

Dude, get this. It's already set up for you. Just got to go to Louisiana to get it.

:D

Personally, I'd give my left nut for it.

I did not mean this one...just something to think about :D

I just dont want to mess up a perfectly good 93 cobra for some track use....

I'd rather spend my money on just one car not 2 (1track and 1 cruiser)

No problem, they are building up a 5.0.

He did suspension and he just dropped a new engine in it.

I hear your pain. Something like it, thatís right. I have had so much fun with this car, low overhead compared to most and I can cruise anytime, track it anytime. I too would love to have a cherry 93.

Without a doubt a used race car, or unfinished project car is going to be the most bang for the buck!!!

The typical... "divorce forces sale" deals are everywhere!!!

Pick one with the mods you like... and pay half price!!!

Also you can turn a race car back into a street car cheaper than you can do the reverse(gee.. how do I know that??? )

SCCA
NASA
IMSA Grand Am Cup
NHRA(easily changed over to road race suspension)
All good sources of used race cars...
nearly all have their own classifieds<---------That's where the DEALS are!!!

People get in deep and some times have to bail out, and will take a pretty big loss on their investment...

Cage and safety equipment included

Sometimes they are going to be a "roller" for obvious reasons...

But a call to the bone yard, or a crate motor later and you are in buisness...

I would start cruising the classifieds now so you can get an idea what things are going for...

And then when you are ready you won't be green to that market..

I just had another idea..
Buy a roller 94 or 95 mustang race car...
add MM torque arm(if it doesn't already have it)
Drop in a 408 crate motor..
and you can build a 95R clone that would be SICK!!!

It's very easy and cheap to put a race car back to streetable..

Junkyard A/C and interior pieces...
and an exhaust system... and that's about it...

That is assuming the car isn't all Heim joints... you don't want to run them on the street(not for long anyway ;) )

Jimmy

I was on the East Coast this past week and dropped in for this car- http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=628265 - planned on getting it but a guy left a deposit on it right before I got there. I am number two on the buy list now as the wife has approved the sale of her car (her Dad just donated his one owner all original 1978 Mercedes 280CE to the family).

While the SVO is great on the track I thought this car would be a perfect cross-over vehicle when the weather is warmer and I am not wanting to push the boost level on the SVO. I found several other cars in this condition so they are out there if you want the trouble of "updating" a fox platform to perform as a SN95 platform car.

This guy is in the SVO club but is selling his '86 Saleen now- - http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=534462
