I want to hear a 03/04 cobra with magnaflow cat back and magnaflow x-pipe. Anybody have that combo? Anybody with opinions on headers that will go with that set-up? thanks everyone.

Honestly, a sound clip is nowhere near the real thing. I learned that with my exhuast when it was too late. What year car are you installing it in?

Crunchit is correct. Sound clips do not reveal the real sound. Not only do you loose the harmonics and some of the tones, you also do not get the level of sound from a recording. I had to wait until my exhaust quieted down some. The SLP is not exactly what I expected either, but I sort of like it now that it does not pierce my ear drums. Your best bet, go to car shows especially if it gets a good mustang croud. If you hear one you like, ask the owner what type of exhaust is on it. Otherwise you only hear the part of the sound with the clip.

I'm installing it on an 04 yellow cobra. I am saving and researching all the mod's for my car and am getting extremely confused. I am an accountant by day and motorcylce enthusiast by night. I have always have crappy cars in the past and decided to go crazy and by my Cobra. I've learned for my sportbike that I need to do my research on products. I am going to Houston Performance on Friday to pick their brains and price some items. any advise.

What do you plan to use the car for (everyday driver, strip, track, or all 3)?

I personally like the Bassani exhaust, but it is quite expensive.
For a CAI (Cold Air Intake) I suggest JLT http://www.jlttruecoldair.com/Products.htm

If you want to give your Cobra a more aggresive look, I'd go with the H&R springs, but if you're going to take it to the track much get Coil-overs http://www.maximummotorsports.com/

Short Throw shifter MGW, nothing else on the market can touch it. Shorter shifts, "whisper quiet", Smooth! http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_1990-2004.html

If you do plan to drag race your car, I'd suggest getting some urethane bushings for the rear at minimum. Cobra's with the IRS (Independent Rear Suspension) are known for their "wheel hop" which will cause something to break if you don't fix it now. Though there isn't really a complete "fix" for it, getting all the rubber out of the IRS will get you closer to the cure! You can find these at Maximum Motorsports also.

If you want to get some pulleys for the blower, I like the Billet Flow pulleys www.billetflow.com (http://www.billetflow.com)

Note if you change the pulley make sure you get a tune to go with it. Some of the hand held tuners (SCT, Diablo) work great, but to really make sure you get it right get a dyno tune from a reputable shop!

Hope of this rambling helps you out in your search for POWER!

Magnaflow Catback with Magnapacs and Magnaflow Catted X-Pipe. Absolutely sounds freaking great. Only other one I would consider is the Borla Stingers...as they sound about the same..just freaking awesome! Talk about wake the neighbors! Damn...your going to make me go down and turn my car on now just to hear the exhaust!!!
