Well the time to purchase some new tires has come. After 9,100 miles of traveling, my F1s are starting to show some wear. I was thinking about going with the GS-D3s since they are not only cheaper but look cool :D ! Just wondered if I could get some feedback from those of you that have had these in the past or are using them now. Thanks.

I am running GS-D3's, 315/35-17's in the rear and 275/45-17's in the front. They are much better than the stock F1's. Good traction, quiet, and smooth. You can still burn them up when cold, but when they get hot they stick well. Tire Rack usually has a good price and availability.

I'm running the same in the rear. I like em' they seem to ride smooth and the hook well for a street tire. The only reason I really got them is cause of the thread pattern!:D

Good tire.........no regrets here:thumbsup:

Cool guys, thanks for the replies. Looks like I can get them at $198/tire. Not too shabby considering the F1s are $250+.

David.........where did you find them for $198 a tire? I believe I got ripped when I purchased mine! I did get the 315/35 17 and paid around $600 for both tires installed. Does this sound right?

I have had them for 6 months. Very little wear and they perform great. I would recommend them highly.

WOW! That sounds a little high. I am assuming that his mounted and balancec in the price but still sounds a little steep. I looked at www.discounttiredirect.com (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/) for the tires, they were running a sale price of $198 about a week ago, don't know how much now, check them out.

Just looked again and the GS-D3s are $203 and the F1s are $204, not too shabby.

I figure if I go through these as fast as I did the first set, I will order them now and maybe when I need them I will have them. :rotf:

i replaced my stock units when they became racing slicks (they ended up leaking like a sponge thru the tread) The d3's are much better in the wet and i think I'll get another 6000 miles out of them (I rarely smoke them now whats the point?) they are nice and quiet . Are stickier dry as well as look tough ;)
