I think I am behind the 8 ball on this one, not much to mention but the short list in my sig. I will probably catch up once the 07 Cobra hits the market. I plan on keeping the 04, perhaps a Kenne Bell may find a new home under my hood. Just waiting for the basic warranty to slide through. Then again, why wait?

Josh............you have two sick @$$ cars man!:D

Thanks! The 97 was a wild roller coaster ride. I got a help and support from the club members to get it going. I bit off more than I could chew with it, but I learned a lot, and I am applying everything I know to this my '03. But, I'm going to have to sell the 97 most likely. :(

I was fortunate in that I bought Lorena the '96 Cobra with a few tasty mods already in-place: King Cobra clutch, SuperChip, K&N Filtercharger, Bassani X-pipe, strut tower braces (OEM option?), over-sized oil pan (OEM option?), titanium, UV-shielding window tinting--it was originally a Miami, FL car--, and Cobra grille emblem.

What I've done since has been mostly cosmetic: striking-Cobra floor mats (from Mustangs Unlimited but--for some reason--not listed on their Web site's Search Engine inventory), Steeda shifter knob (a very nice add-on, both aesthetically and functionally) http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=3230000+01 , and Xenon Blue headlight lamps (very nice--increased range, and you can even ride with the high beams on without getting flashed by oncoming headlights).

Regarding performance mods added by me, I added Bosch high-performance O-2 sensors (and have seen an improvement in highway gas mileage), and I'm in the middle of a costly-but-worthwhile exhaust mod: To deal with the sins of a half-assed muffler shop who mangled installation of the previous owner's custom exhaust, I've added a custom, mandrel-bent exhaust--new from the Bassani X-pipe back. This includes Flowmaster low-restriction mufflers and Magnaflow polished straight tips. (Cudos to Grand Muffler in Smyrna, GA; The proprietor is a Mustang/Cobra enthusiast and owns a Chip Foose "Elanor" replica). And, since MIL eliminators will not work in-league with my SuperChip and Bassani X-pipe, I intend to resolve the issue by going with BBK full-length, ceramic-coated headers (with O-2 sensor ports) and one-off, mandrel-bent pipes that include Flowmaster low-restriction catalytic converters installed at 45-degree angles so that the OEM O-2 sensor wiring harness can be used without an adaptor kit.

Man, this performance modification bit can be expensive once you get into it, but I love it, nonetheless. :tomcat:

Since I landed here indirectly during a Search Engine query of the Forum, I just noticed that this thread is '03-'04-specific. Alas, I don't own one of those bad Oscars. (You lucky dogs! ...I'd bet that "you pass everything but the gas stations".) :flash:

Oh, well...sorry. :D

I was really just asking what everyone has done, doesn't have to be 03/04 directed!

Yeah, the way gas prices are rising..........I can barely drive the car to the mail box and back :D
