Hazman - When you make the registration forms, don't forget to update your mailing address!!!

I'll be back with the SSLED. I got tired of spending half of my energy keeping my fat butt behind that flat, wide seat. That was really slowing me down. :D I'll be prepared for the next race.

If I recall correctly, that yeller banana ran behind me the last time I went. :rotf: and everyone knows what a sucky driver I am. I mean if you can't beat the worst driver out there, what does that say about you? :D

P.S. Don't worry Yeller, looking at LeadSled's signature, if it is straight line running, he's minced meat! :p

You're right about that, at least for now. But running in a straight line is "all about the car". Runiing the 411 autocross is "all about the driver". I'll own Yeller there, and I'll own you too, with 100 less HP and 600 lbs. more weight than both of you. :D

Bring it on!

Holy smoke, over a month away, and the trash talk is already thick. We have a long history of trash talk with these events. But it's not malicious - just in good fun. I just wanted Brett and Tony to have a little company.

Good luck with the new tires - you'll need them.

Well to get my shots in here...I have never been worried about Tony S. so why start now :D Brett I am sure will have some excuse about why he could not beat the little white convertible if his wife lets him attend. :p This time I am guessing it will be lack of traction. As for Terry there is no way I am getting beat by a taxi cab again. Note to self: get over to 411 one night soon and change the width of some of those gates. Written this small so none of the AARP drivers should be able to find out what I am doing. Oh and Mike congrats on the suspension & tires but remember driving fast on curvy roads is inbred into we'uns down har yall hear.. :rotf:

Oh this is going to be a good one.

Hmmm. Let me practice....

"yO Gee! Mah NOS gots tha tOO much pOwer BoyEEE!"
Nah, too ricey.

"I lost cause I was granny shifting, not double-clutching like I should."
Nah, to cheesy and Vin Deisely.

"You beat me cause the nitrous blew the welds on my intake"
Well now that's just moronic isn't it?

"Okay, that was fun. Hey what's that over there? Why I'll be daaaaarned ...I believe that's a dragstrip!"
Yep, that's the one, that one will work! :D ;) ;) :rotf:

Hazman - If you think that's the only way you can beat the SSLED, you go ahead and narrow the gates all you want. I'll still whip you. Hell you knocked over more cones than I did last time. Well, except that one run. :D

Brett - It's not working. It's just impossible to be intimidating in a sunflower yellow car.

Rick - I haven't done a good job of publicizing the registration for link to the Impy guys - I'll start rounding up the taxi cabs. Several of them have said they plan to come to this one. I know that Mark S, will make it. Considering that he took out a fence after crossing the finish line (winning his class and FTD) on the Pocono Raceway South road course 2 weeks ago at the ISSCA 2005 national convention, that's pretty "die hard" of him. He says that he'll have it back together by 9/4.

I'll gladly give you the $200 prize if you can whoop on the vettes and that pesky rotary car. :D If they loose to my 4200 lb land yacht, they should just shoot themselves in the head. Then again, I was 4th place last time. Only the rotary, the MTI 383 Z06, and Tony's Mustang finished ahead of this taxi. I'll bring a revolver for them just in case. :spoke:

Who knows, you might get smart and drop a mod motor in that cab of yours. :DThat's OK. I seem to be doing all right with my stock old-tech powerplant. Besides, with the torque of the mod motor, it would never let my car get out of 1st gear. Hell look at the Clown Vics - they can't get out of their own way.

Well, this time there will be twice as much 01 mineral grey fun. I have introduced SVTcobraclub to another cobra driver. I have also talked him into making the drive down to the 411 from the buckeye state. I was wondering Rick, if the two of us would be able to run in the first group, that way after the afternoon session, we would be able to head out, and start the long hike home. Mark and I will be showing up at the ford show on sat, but will be too late to actually participate. ANd then will just be hangin out the rest of the day. If we are up to some more driving, might head over and run the dragon.:bounce: Anyways, can't wait to get the snake back on the track, especially with the new parts and sticky tires. Mustang. :( I love how the the car feels in transitions, but hate it in sweepers, so I hope I don't get beat up too bad. I need to go a lot faster so I can pull third gear around the turns instead of pedaling the car to stay out of the rev limiter. Maybe I can borrow some RPM's from one of the Cobra's.

Semi off-topic, I've got some really nice Cobra R's with some worn Victoracers that I'd like to get rid of if anyone is interested. When I can get to HPT, I'll cut and paste in the classifieds here.

Rick- depending on school, I might be able to make it to this one. I'd like to, but probably won't know until the weekend. At the very least, I'll come out and watch for a little while. If you've got room, save me a little spot on the list. Thanks!

I'm in the wait until Sunday category (actually wait until Friday category, but probably too late to mail at that point), too.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the 411 events, just wondering if I can still get in for this one? I'm trying to decided between this and the Nashville AutoX... If I just print out the form and pay at the gate, is there a chance I won't get in because of the 36 car limit?

Thanks for any assistance...
Bradley

Have a safe trip. As info - 93 octane is currently $3.49/gallon in Knoxville. Of course there is no guarantee that it will stay there either.

yeah, gas is the same here. It is something that I have no control over, and I am not going to run my life around it. I figure, go out to eat one less time this month, break even. Thanks for all your help terry, i am literally nippin at the bit to get these tires on the track! See you in a few days, and I will give you a call if i think of anything, thanks again

I just spoke with Mark S, #13 on the list. He did not get his car back from the body shop this week as they promised. So, he will be unable to attend Sunday. He asked if he might apply his entry fee to a future event.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. These SCMC 411 Autocross events are my most favorite bang-for-the-buck racing events. Today did not disappoint.

Thanks to the SVT Cobra Mustang Club for putting these events on and letting the taxi cabs come out to play.

It's "Mike", but I think his Dad's name is "Mark" . All I know is that they got home safely the day we were racing.

What's up ya'll. Just thought I would say hello, let you all know that my father and I are both OK. Pretty crappy day, but really can't complain, we both walked away from an accident that should havce taken our lives. You can see some pics of the car upside down in the woods on www.dragonslayerphotos.com (http://www.dragonslayerphotos.com) , just go under sat sept 3rd, and then in the car section. there are a few pics of us, and the other guys from ohio driving the dragon. and then the last page is of the wreck. Hopefully insurance will be kind, and hopefully in the not to distance future I can be behind the wheel of another cobra. Thanks for thinking about me guys, wish I could have been there, take it easy, Mike

We wish you could have been there too. Glad to hear that everyone is OK and you have a positive attitude about it. What did they do with the car? Is it still in TN? Do you plan to buy it back to get your goodies out of it? I'm sure that the motor & tranny are probably OK. If insurance isn't kind, you can at least recover some $$$ this way.

It's Mike not Mark. What happened was Excel automatically put "Mark" in there as the default name and I didn't look careful enough to make sure it was Mike. Sorry y'all....will you ever forgive me? :D

For all of the 411 autocrossers - The Taxi Cabs would like to show their appreciation for allowing us to participate in the SVT Cobra Club racing events via an invitation. Do hot laps on an oval track interest anyone? There will be no cones at this event!
