Room.............

Yikes.........Holiday Inn $160/night, Ramada $179????????????

cobrabitn 08-02-2010 07:31 PM

We're working on trying to go elsewhere. They are not worth the money they are asking Larry.

cobrabitn 08-02-2010 07:36 PM

I took it as an insult so I didn't reply. :doubt:

bolt-on 08-03-2010 12:14 PM

Tony.....it is Jan, looking into rooms. Not an insult, just wondering if there were any other suggestions. That just seemed way higher than in the past.

Lumpydogs 08-03-2010 12:42 PM

I always had good luck at the Hampton Inn in September.

cobrabitn 08-03-2010 11:01 PM

I wasn't stating that about your post Jan...I thought Lumpy was complaining about the previous events??? :D

Sometimes the Internet/Forums can be confusing or misleading. :(

Lumpydogs 08-04-2010 12:37 PM

Lumpy thoroughly enjoys the SCMC Gingerman events and thinks that they are well organized, fun and well priced.

My post was in regards to my two blown engines at back to back SCMC September Gingerman events.

Sorry for any misunderstand :D

Even NASA had their set-backs, never did they give up and say "this is just too expensive" :D

cobrabitn 08-04-2010 09:43 PM

I don't think he's given up, it's in his blood. I think he was hoping for a better September event, am I right? :doubt:

Jeff, I am not happy about the increase in cost but $325.00 is not too bad. Problem is our attendance for this event is down and unfortunately, we have to make it up somewhere. Now if we can get 60 people to sign up then we can lower the price some.

I won't be there this year, too much going on at the house right now. I'm still dealing with inherited property and we have to get the house ready for sale so we can stop making trips every two weeks. Once I get that taken care of then we'll look at making the trips back to MI in the future. I really wish I could run the new configuration but it'll have to wait...... ;)
