Update from the Nola Track Site:

One consistent thing about southern Louisiana is that the weather is decidedly inconsistent. As most of you know, weather permitting we have been working flat-out seven days a week on our track project. The first part of February was literally a wash as we received rain shower after rain shower.

First the bad news - we have just met with Brian Prowell PhD, our paving advisor, Greg Cantrell, our construction manager and our paving contractor on Monday. Due to the recent rains, we will miss our first paving window of March 1st. To be on the pessimistic side we are moving our first scheduled public days to August 6th and 7th with Member activity beginning at least 2 weeks prior. I can't tell you how painful this is, but we want to ensure the end result is a long lasting surface to enjoy for many years to come.

Now for the good news - if we continue to be blessed with this great weather and our paving contractor's schedule works in our favor, the revised opening date will be moved up. Stay tuned to the website for all the latest.

We are sorry for the delay, but our goal is to finish with the best possible result. We have invested much time and effort into ensuring everything that we do is of the best quality and we intend to stay the course.
