New 1998 Mustang Cobra owner

Hello Everyone,

My name is Robert, i am a new owner of a 1998 Mustang Cobra, she was Laser Red when she left the factory, but not so much now. I am hoping to turn her into a autocross car, but she has a cooling issue that i can not figure out, i am hoping that someone here will be able to set me in the right direction to fix her.

I have checked and changed almost everything in the cooling system, ohmed out the wires from the PCM to the temp switch, and checked its voltage, both good, ohmed out wires from fan to CCRM again fine, but she still will not turn on the fan when the temp gets to 210 or above, if i turn on the AC the fan comes on.

Any and all info will be helpful
Thanks
Robert

You can definitely have a tuner turn the fan on earlier but it sounds like you have a bad switch/sensor somewhere.

Thanks for the response!

i have check the temp sensor, ohmed the wires to the switch and checked voltage to the switch, they are both correct.
i have replaced the CCRM, had the PCM reflashed, replaced the fan, so almost everything in the cooling system has been checked or changed.
i did notice that when i checked the pigtail on the fan, that when i turned on the AC the voltage came across the low speed wire on the high speed wire, so i am wondering if i might have crossed the high and low wires when i replace the pig tail for the fan.

i was hoping someone might have a picture of a fan pigtail so i can see which wire went where and hopefully make sure mine is right or not

Robert
