Collector car insurance

In the latest issue of Snakebite, there was an article about Stated Value Insurance. Is that the same as the collector car insurance offered by Grundy and Haggerty? I thought they pay the amount you agree to insure the vehicle for if it is totaled or stolen. Looks like I was wrong.

I had considered getting the agreed value insurance for my Cobra because I thought it woud be better than regular State Farm insurance in case it was totaled or stolen. I only drive it occasionally. I bought it new and it only has 2600 miles on it.

Also has anyone heard of the collector car insurance offered by Mecum (American Modern Insurance Gruop)?

Thanks for the info.
