A rebuild is not that hard. A press to get the old ones out, some dry ice(or a freezer) and a oven that you don't cook in and use to heat medal is what you need.

I've kind of put it on the back burners because of other expenses, but I bought an old Eaton that wasn't in the best shape that I've been porting on and I'm replacing all the bushings in. Here are the kits I've bought.

Snot kit

You probably won't need the housing bearings replaced unless your rotors look like their rubbing pretty bad. I was able to get them out with a Pilot Bearing Puller. See pictures.








Still if they will rebuild your snot for $150, and that includes all the bearings and seal then that might be easier for you, and doesn't sound like a bad deal for parts and laybor.
