Question adj. brake proportion valve, can i weld this...

hey guys question
you know when you install a adjustable brake proportioning valve you gut the stock proportion valve. and so your supposed to reinstall the fms plug/cap (part # m-2450-a)thingy on the end of it. well couldnt i just take the guts out then weld the center of the stock plug/cap thing instead? i have to know before i disassemble the car, it cant stay in the shop over the weekend.
thanks, i hope someone knows what i mean
