abs/tc question
Hi
I was driving and heard a loud pop from the left rear quarter of the car, and my ABS light and my Traction control light came on. What happened? |

Welcome to our forums. What year is the car? Did the car still drive after the pop and did you look under the left rear wheel to see what if anything was broken or loose?

Thank you for your welcome and your response.The car is a 2001.
I drove home, which is when I noticed that not only was the ABS lit up, but the Traction control light was on. I haven't checked under the car yet, because I don't know what I'm looking for. I hoped someone could give me some ideas of what to look for. The car seems to drive fine. The incident happened at around 9PM and I was going to look for obvious culprits in the morning. Just hoped to narrow the search from someones experience. |

I went out this morning and the ABS and Traction Control lights were NOT on.
Maybe, the SNAKE in the heart of the car bit the problem. NAJA never sleeps. |

I believe the problem that I experienced last night with the ABS light & Traction Control light can be easily explained.
After I left the Dairy Queen, which is when the loud pop occurred. I drove to the car wash to rinse off the car for a Club meeting today. I first noticed the ABS light and Traction Control light after I had thoroughly washed the car. My theory is that the high pressure water fouled an ABS sensor, and triggered the lights to come on. This morning, I did not have any indicator lights lit, and they are still ok. Makes my day!!!!! |
