It will be the first "retail" car that is for sale. Bill Ford is getting Production vehicle number 1 and so forth. Money is supposed to benefit the Caroll Shelby Children's Fund.

Here is a couple of pics of the 'vert they have on display at Barrett Jackson.

And the first Roush Platinum Edition Mustang I had seen or heard of.

the car sold for $600,000. The car on the show was a mule. The winner gets the car of their choice, signed by Shelby, and Edsel Ford. The winner, also, won a tool box with matching VIN # of the car, signed, as well. The car looked awesome up there. All the money raised, went to the Shelby Children Foundation. The winner, also, receives a tour of the SVT facilities. Maybe that is a sign?

I guess for the cause it was a good thing. I hope that does not put a selling price on the retail end of it. Right before Edsel and Carol got out of the Cobra, the announsers were talking about the First Ford GT auction pulled in $500k. I watched it for a while after, A few other shelby's came up for auction and Carol shelby was even offering to autograph the car.
