I want to buy a Cobra

I am looking to buy a Cobra Mustang, I prefer a hard top but would consider a nice convertable, I am in the Sacramento, California area but would travel short trips. I am also interested in a low milage car, prefer 10,000-30,000 miles or less. Stock condition or pro mods fine. Please give me a call or email me. I am very motivated and a long time Mustang Owner.

Although it has higher mileage than what you are looking for, check on this one...http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...d.php?t=445324
That is a heck of a deal!!

It is a great deal but to be honest it has to many miles. The price is right for a machine like that but I really want to keep it for a long time and that means starting with low miles, I store my show cars and hardly drive them so I like to get them with low miles, in fact I have a 2001 GT Mustang Yellow with 12,000 miles on it and it is like it came from the show room, I don't expect that condition in the Cobra I buy but I do want a cherry with 30,000 or less. Thanks for the help I will take a look at all suggestions.

Well great question, I have found nice Cobras with very few miles on them all over the USA, they are going for anywhere between 25000 and 30000 depending on year and miles. I am learning fast that if I go with a pre 2002 (1999-2002) I can get a much better deal, a nice 99 to 2002 can be had for closer to 20000. As with anyone trying to buy a car I don't want to pay anything and so am looking for the best deal. I am hoping to get a nice car with low miles in the mid 20000 range. I am looking more at the 2000-2002 now because they are Cobras with the right motor and the price is much less and there are very low milage cars out there. I am going to upgrade what ever car I get to make it perform better so to make it simple I want a solid low milage car with nothing wrong with it so I can do minor mods and upgrades and make a nice show car I can enjoy for many years. I am very much planning on keeping a Cobra for many years as I love the car.

That's because the 2003/04 Cobra is a much different animal, The engines have forged internals and a supercharger that respond real well to simple inexpensive mods (CAI, Cat back and smaller pulley will give you well over 400 HP), 6 speed, aluminum fly wheel & drive Shaft, IRS (has its pluses and minuses) etc.

good luck on your search.

That is so true I have a 93 cobra and owned a 95 cobra and the 03/04 cobra are in a class by themselves. IMO

I know of a 03 DSG vert for sale, too. It is a very well maintained, babied Cobra. Let me know, I will direct you to him.

I'll sell you mine if the price is right. Your best bet is to go with the 03-04 cobras if you are going to be doing any mods as they respond very well to them. Trust me, get a 03-04 and never look back!!!!

I am looking to buy a cobra as well

I live in NJ, and there are no shortage of '03-'04 cobra's... if you want to pay 30g's or better... I understand that I am a cheap bastard and want one for free in excellent shape that no one ever farted in... But realistically I want a car with approx 30k miles or less, in excellent shape for high teens low20's without mods... Or a car with about the same milage with mods for low-mid 20's... And it's okay if it's been farted in.. they are 5yrs old now... Figures that 2 mo. ago they were all over the place for less than bluebook which is only like 24g's... Now, cars I would have snubbed my nose at months ago are selling upwards of 30g's... Is it a seasonal thing? If I wait til september will I find what I am looking for? Or did everyone one else decide that they wanted one the same Time I did... I am not too particular about coupe or convertable, or color... Though, no offense to anyone out there but the yellow coupes dont really grab me, nor do the redfire ones... but at this point... who knows if the price is right...
It just figures when I was broke they were everywhere, now I have money... not so much...

Do Mystichromes grab you?

Seriously, I think the reason for the price increase or maintaining the higher prices is because the New Shelbys are running 40K plus and most of them are running 47K and up. Now you have a New Shelby with 500 hp or 430 at the rear wheels stock. The Terminators can easily get 500 plus rear hp for a couple of grand still making them the best bang for the buck.

I am still going back and forth on selling my 04 simply because it's paid for and I don't feel like tossing another 10K - 15K out for a new Shelby. Nope, no car payments for me or else I just do without.
