roll cage
I'm looking for a couple if opinions as I always do with my stuff. I'm thinking of taking the styling bar off my mystichrome vert and getting a 4 point bolt in cage, but i want to color match it to my car if i get one. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a mystichrome vert with this done. I always like to be different. I was thinking that and a 4 point harness. plus for the safty factor, a roll bar is a hell of alot better then a styling bar. But what do you think guys?

If you just plan to keep the car for the street, I'd stick with the styling bar. I would only put in a rollbar if I was going to run track. You can do both though, there are several members who have the roll bar right behind the styling bar so it isn't as apparent. Painting it Mystichrome would definitely be different as I have never seen that done by anyone.

I have an 03 Vert and I put in a custom roll bar so I could take to the track. Downsides for a street car are ... no more passengers in back seat as there is no way to keep them from hitting any roll bar, with a bolt in you will have to cut carpet and side panels, etc. The upsides are stiffness and handling as the roll bar will help a great deal, and protection in case of a roll over. If this is a street car I would not put in a roll bar as it will only take away from the value and they really are not that nice looking. My car is now a track only car so it does not matter as I have a full cage.

I agree with these guys. I'm a track guy so I like the idea of having a 4-pt roll bar in any vert. But to be honest, it will likely detract from the resale value of the car. Does that matter to you? Do you do any track events? Would you like to?
If you go with a 4-pt roll bar (not technically a cage) make sure it is installed properly. They can push through the floor if not done right.
