2004 cobra transmission needed

Hi everyone, new to the forum, but not new to cobras. My 2004 suddenly after easter brunch would not shift. Got it home in 5th gear (ouch) on my only 2 month old centerforce clutch and NEW flywheel while gritting my teeth.

I removed my pro 5.0 shifter and found that where the flat area of the shifter "pushing" area contacts what appears to be a plunger style actuator, the retaining ring is broken off, and that makes sense why the main shift fork appears to be leaning to the right.

Long story short, I'd rather get a new or rebuilt unit, as mine has 83,000 ,miles on it. I NEVER abuse this car, so Im not quite sure what happened, however, I equate it to just good old fasioned part failure after too many miles.

In summary, does anyone know where I can pick up a trans for less than retail, and still get a good deal?

Any help would be appreciated, as my baby is helplessly now sitting in the garage with spring just around the corner.

Gary, Schaumburg, Illinois.

I got one from www.sixspeedinc.com out of Texas. I had a guy on svtperformance recommend them to me. They specialize in the t-56 and have great prices. I bought the stage 4 package and should have it on Thursday. Tell them that Ted Hall told you about them because I told them I would spread the word.

Eh, the link is forwarding to some car club thingy...It's www.SixSpeedsInc.com and it sure sounds like a great way to go! And they are within biking distance of my house...but I don't do anything that requires physical exertion, so never mind...

Hmmm, I wonder of they could slap one of those bad boys into an SN95?
