MGW Shifter

I installed a new MGW shifter in my 1999 Cobra about 3 years ago and am having a bit of a problem when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. When I'm just doing normal street driving I don't have any problems but when I really hit the gas pedal the shifter always sticks going from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. It always sticks in the same place, just as I get it out of 2nd and just before it goes into 3rd. So it seems to stick just as I hit neutral.

I figure this somehow has to be in how I have it setup, but I've looked at the installation instructions over and over again and can't see what I've done wrong. Has anyone else had this issue? My Cobra just went over 8000 miles so I doubt anything is worn out yet.
