Geez,,,,you 600+ RWHP folks make me want to get divorced just so I can spend more money,,,yes I will certainly agree with the fact that 4:10's is are not going to work with that kind of juice,,,,

two great questions:

1. what cost more to install and set up right, KB/Whip? or
a geared turbo style Procharger type?

2. assuming the KB & whipple are close,,which STYLE CHARGER is best over all,,, A ROOTS?? or a GEARED TURBO (pro-charger type) for over all Horse power and Torque??

I guess you have your transmission problems fixed now. did you up grade the clutch or go back with a stock one from the dealer.

normaly I would have upgraded the whole clutch deal, but because there was a bulletin on the snout of the transmission, they were willing to warrantee the snout, clutch plate, throwout bearing, and the labor to change it all out,
I had to pay for a new flywheel, clutch disc, pilot bearing, and about 2 hours of extra labor because I had headers on the car that normaly they would not have had extra time to get the starter mototr off in order to get the bell off,

so I had to write a check for $1185 for that stuff, could you imagine what it would have cost me to also buy an after market clutch assymbly on top of what I already had to pay? it would have been about $2500 total because they were not happy about giving warrantee at all when they say all that stuff on my car,

Guess it was an issue on a GT but not on a Cobra, with the 4:10's I pull strong on the interstate all the way up,

Its kind of funny because in sixth gear, with 3:55's right at 80 MPH my RPM was like 2350 and with 4:10's its only around 2700 RPM at 80 MPH. thats only 350 RPM more for all that extra pull, and I can tell you now that with 4:10's its still pulling strong in 5th gear as speed increases,,,,,,and man is that Carbon shaft sweet and steady even at a buck thirty five,,,soon as I can find a safe place im going to see how fast it will go,,

Has anyone ever gone real fast?? hit me with some real numbers and RPM's

I know I have gone beyond 160 in my stock 04. I do not recall if I was in 4th or if I shifted to 5th gear at that time. I was racing a GTO and at speeds of 130 I could not seem to loose him/her so I decided to go for it. As for RPM I did not even look at it since everything was moving so fast. I only got a glimps of the speedo after I dusted the GTO by almost a quarter mile when I noticed the needle was below the 160 mark by at least the distance of 10 miles on the scale and had to immediately slow down to aviod hitting the traffic in front of me which was closing in like stationary objects. I could only imagine how it would have been with 4.10 in the rear since I only have the stock 3.55's. That was probably the fastest I have ever driven a land vehicle. Since I do not have a pilots licence I will be grounded.
