12#'s Too Much?
Right now I'm pushing 7-7.5 #'s boost and was wodering if 12#'s would be too much. Reason asking is because I have the 4.75 crank pulley KB sent me to get 8 #'s and I have my stock cobra crank pulley that will make 12#. My current meter is pegged and I was going this weekend to get a new SCT Big Mouth and re-tune and was itching for a smidge more HP. Would this be too much on my stock bottom end? Right now I'm making 465 to the wheels and won't be happy until I'm half way to 1k HP Thanks!

We tried it that one day at custom performance, remember? I got kinda scared of what the engine would do with that so I took it back off. I had jumped from 220whp to 465whp with 7#'s and wasn;t ready for 12#'s. I think I want it back on now

i run 12lb
I run 12lb with a stock s-trim pulley on a vortech, forged 331 motor. It makes 485rwhp, 480rwtq the hp was at 5800 rpm with a hogged out stock intake. Might see the 500hp at 6000-6200 rpm. The power pipe and 80mm mass air help make the boost, afr185 heads. I have a crazy electrical problem right now though, the car bogs and the tach bounces up and down like it's on crack. Going to check all the connections and maybe get a new mass air. Who knows.

What do you mean obdII conversion? I had to change the connector ends on the maf to the newer style for the lightning MAF. Is that what you mean? If not I need to get this piece ASAP before this saturday.

I've got a 4.81 pulley as well as the one I got now. I'm gnna try that first and see if my other small mods plus the new MAF will get me to the 500 mark. If not, 12#'s here I come!
