Just had to say my family was thinking of you today and tonight as we lit fireworks and watch the shows on TV.

WEnt and celibrated the 4th with my X-coreman Dad this morning by shooting a few rounds at the range with him. It was fun to see peoples faces when he pulled out some wild old guns and his original M-16 from the Vietnam War. He can still shoot, Great grouping at 300 yards and a couple bulls eyes with no scope and open sites.

It is sometimes very easy to forget just how brave our armed forces personnel really are - putting themselves in harms way and ready to give their life to protect that little thing we call "freedom".

No matter what your political affiliation or your beliefs on how our government is handling or mishandling the tension in the world, you just cannot help being SO grateful to our men and women in uniform.

We cannot ever begin to repay you - But we can give you the respect you deserve - especially on this day of Independence!!
