ClockSpring?

Has anyone ever had a clockspring go out on there car? Symtoms of this are no horn, no cruise control and the airbag light flashing. Mine has went out and I need to change it in-order to get inspection. I can get the part for $80 shipped and was wondering how difficult it would be to install myself?

BTW, it goes behind the steering wheel / airbag.

Thanks,

Sorry never had to deal with that..... When you do decide to tackle the job do not forget to pull all of the fuses to disarm the airbag system (I believe there is one in the Power distribution box and one or two of them on the fuse panel.) Perhaps the link below will help....

Luckily my brother-n-law works for Ford and he's going to come over and help me install it. I'll let you know how it goes.
