Kenny Brown Extreme Matrix System

Greetings from the northern most state! Notice I didn't say "coldest state", many times Minnesota is mucho colder than it gets here in Anchorage.

Anyway, since it's so nice and freezing cold here and for the next few months, I'm doing some upgrades that have been sitting it boxes for the last couple of years and am looking for some installation help.

I have a brand new KB Extreme Matrix system that includes the jacking rails, Extreme Matrix brace and the Double Cross sub connectors, all finished in zinc. The sub connectors came with instructions on how to install them and the matrix braces look easy enough to weld on but I can't see how the jacking rails attach to the undercarriage of the Cobra. I see that they have a number of holes drilled on one side and they seem to line up with some plastic fasterners that are already on the car. But I sure don't see how the heck those holes are used. Does anyone know if I just weld the jacking rails to the matrix brace? I've looked all over the web for any instructions but all I've found are pictures.

On another subject. I picked up a set of slightly used Steeda Sport springs a while back. Of course one set is "higher" than the other set but again I don't have any instructions. So my question here is: Which set goes on the front end and which set goes on the rear end? I'm guessing the longer set goes in the front due to the weight of the engine. But I sure don't what to put the longer ones on the front only to realize that they need to be installed on the rear after I'm done.

Any help is mucho appreciated!

I have the KB extreme matrix package on my car.

the holes in the jacking rails line up with the holes in the pinch welt metal. The holes allow the plastic fasteners to still be used to hold the side skirts on.

The jacking rails mount holes out and do not go flush to the floor pan surface.

Welding is a bit tricky because the thin metal. I still have all the installation instructions somewhere around here. Let me know if you need copies.

I'm heading out tonight but will check back Sunday.

when did they go back into buisness? I remember thier website saying if you buy any new Kenny brown suspension parts that they were all fake, and they havent been doing buisness in like 2 years or something.

Thanks for the replies and I think I've got it figured out.

Everything I see about Kenny Brown shows that he is still out sick and the shop is still closed for the time being. I bought this kit at least 2 years ago and they all have the KB sticker along with the serial number.

I have been talking with a guy at Kenny Brown. He said they are slowly getting back in the swing of things. They are starting to produce some of the parts again. They are back in business, just the website is not updated. They never really were quick at updating the website before.

This may sound very basic... But, make sure the car is sitting on all four tires and that they are inflated to the same pressure and... that the floor or lift is level. Any twisting to the car will be welded in.
I know a guy who didn't follow those directions and he had a mess to fix.

yeah its always best to find a drive on lift to do subframes or you can have hard time with doors shutting and such
