NASA Mid Atlantic VIR Feb 08 Pictures

For those of you who don't know, I race my 96 Mustang Cobra with NASA in the Mid Atlantic Region in the American Iron Series. The car is no longer street legal and is only driven on track. Our season runs late Feb through early November each year. This year, our region has 8 events that take place at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia, Virginia International Raceway near Danville VA, and Carolina Motorsports Park in SC. At most events we have a sprint race on both Saturday and Sunday and accumulate points from each race for the annual championship. I finished second in 2007 standings in my first full year of racing. 2006 ended early after a serious crash. The rebuilding took about four months.

My wife, Jen is my photographer (in addition to all her other duties). We've been really busy this spring so I've just posted pics from the February event at VIR. Feel free to post comments or questions. My brother, Jeremy, who you'll also see in some pictures is my crew chief.

I finished first in class in both races in February giving me a great start for 2008. Here's a link to the picture gallery. A Special Thanks to the club, Maximum Motorsports, and Toyo Tires for all the support. I can always count on this group whenever I have a Cobra question.
