Newbi Here!

Hello all!

I found a 1997 SVT Cobra for sale. He wants $4000 for the car. Here's the catch. It needs at the very least an engine rebuild or possibly a short block. Sounds like it may have spun a crank bearing. The car has 78000 miles and lots of mods. It is super charged with a front mount intercooler. It's running about 10psi of boost. It has 410 rear end gears. It also has some suspension mods. Along with about $1500 in extra parts. Is it worth it? What would it cost to rebuild or replace the engine?

Thanks for the info
Alan

I would say if the body and everything looks good to you then all you will be out of is a little bit for a motor...(Here are some options for you..) http://www.fordracingparts.com/crate...dularcobra.asp

Sound like a good deal to me..

And welcome to the boards..

I'd agree that it sounds like a good deal if the body is in good shape...hell the supercharger and mods alone are worth $4000...put $6000 in to a motor and you have a nice toy for $10k...good luck with the purchase
