Oil Pan R&R Question

I need to replace the oil pan in my 96. Does anyone know if the motor needs to be lifted to get the oil pan out/in?

Thanks,

Just did my 03 ... gotta drop the kmember to get the oil pan off. Yes, a bunch of work to change the pan. I did lots of other things while I was there.

I think it's time for headers.

What do SCMC folks think of the Bassani mid-lengths?

I am quite pleased with the look, relative ease of installation and performance of the Bassani mid-length headers. ProfChaos (see the Stock VS. Mods thread) has a different opinion.

F.y.i.

Because of gasket sealing concerns with the Bassani gaskets, my engine builder used conventional header gaskets along with the Bassani gaskets.

We used the stock set of gaskets over the Bassani on one install...never had any issues...I think InfamousSVT also ended up using the stockers again b/c his original set of Bassani's leaked (if I remember correctly b/c it's been so long ago )

I assume you all are talking factory stock, but how about these:

the RF-3019 in particular.
