Some teaser pics of my polished exhaust!!
I finally decided to polish the exhaust on the cobra today. I only got to work on it for about 2hrs today because I ended up going to the drag strip. These are not done yet, I still have to do the 1000 and 1500 grit sand paper and the metal polish.
The stuff I bought was 400, 800, 1000, and 1500 wet/dry sand paper. Mothers polishing wheel with some blue max aluminum polish. When I get done it will be like a mirror finish. Also, the underside of my hood should be getting painted hopefully next weekend after I remove the hood mat. Edit: added new pics and installed exhaust. I know the exhaust is not staright on the car but I will fix that tomorrow. BEFORE: ![]() ![]() AFTER: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not hard at all. If you have a cobra with an IRS then it would be worth it since the exhaust hangs down from behind. Adds a nice little pop while driving down the road or at shows!!

Before you take the system back off to finish goto walmart and get a bottle of liquid metal polish. it is about 6' tall and is white with a blue lable. Use that for a final polish and you will be surprised. I use it all the time for my stainless.

Yeah I bought one of those Mothers mini balls as this is what everyone was using so I decided to try it out. Will see what it does in a couple days.

Too much drama!

looking good, Chris. I need to do some more on my pipes. I didn't have any of the lower grit sandpaper, used some 1000, then steel wool, then Mother's Mag/Aluminum polish on the Mothers Powerball. The powerball is awesome, simple to use.
