I purchased a set of Steeda Sport Springs from a member here who was going to coil overs. Lowered the car about 1.5 front 1.00 rear. It is a little rougher ride on the road, and you can feel the bumps thru the bottom of the seat when on uneven surfaces. They did however make a tremendous difference at the track I usually run about 8-12 track days per year and they have really helped the car thru the twisties, under braking, and acceleration. Car is still faster than me

Where do you live in Rhode Island? I am from Warwick!

If you are going to lower the car, you really need to use caster/camber plates to get a good alignment. Make sure you get a good set with full movement! Both Steeda & Maximum Motorsports have good plates and so do other companies. No matter what springs you use, you will be getting a stiffer ride than normal! I sold Tom his springs when I went to coil overs. I liked the springs, but I was taking the car to the track a lot and the coil overs ended up being a much better solution for my car as they have a great deal more adjustments when height and corner balancing are involved. All the aftermarket springs are going to lower the car 1.5 - 2.5" and they will stiffen the ride. As Tom said ... they will make you feel the bumps, the car will follow tracks a little more, but the car will be much tighter.

I am sure people will say I'm dumb but I have never had a front end aligment. They installed the springs and off I went. I also do not have any caster camber plates. My car rides fine. No uneven wear or anything. The kit I purchased was the Eibach Sportline. The proline is the step above mine. I think I paid around $225.00 for them.

I lived on Greenwood Ave from 68-74, graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School and RIJC - now RI Community College (showin my age)! I use to ride my 56 T-Bird to Goddard Park on the weekends and cruise thru the McDonalds on Warwick Ave!

I got to visit the area again this year, on business, and got to have a Lobster Roll at the Greenwood Inn! Sure brought back a lot of memories!

Good luck with the lowering springs, let us know what you decide to do, and come on down to VIR for the club event!

i have a vert with no roll bar so that event would be useless to me. that McDonald's is no longer there.maybe someday ill get down that way again. i usually come down to have my car worked on by pro-dyno.
