Hooking up an AMB transponder

I am going to install an AMB transponder on my 1997 Cobra and want it to operate when the ignition switch is turned on. Just needs to hook to a 12v fused system and wonder if anyone can show me where is a good place to wire this in. I am not an electrical expert...but am mechanically able. If someone can give me a diagragm or picture of what to do, I am sure I can get this hooked up. Ground is not a problem, just want to do a nice job with the positive wire and where it won't hurt any other electrical functions.

Thanks,
David

You just need to find a wire under the dash that is hot when the engine is running. There is probably one inside the console as well. Take a look at the wiring diagrams. Whenever I add any electrical accessories to my car I always add a relay, but you may not need one for this.

I had one of our mechanics at work help me and I hooked up the transponder last weekend. Works like a charm.

Thanks for responding.
