grille redesign

Well I got bored of the old grill I made and decided to make a new grill that I could replace the Cobra back in its home. The snake just kinda floats in the opening now and the grill now hides the radiator and its support that FORD failed to cover.

That looks great. I like that look much better than the ones that come all the way out to the front of the opening.

Nice Garage

Great looking garage. Also notice the pro-looking tool chest. I bet you do most of your own work/maintainence. I wish i had the tools and the expertise to do that.......best I can manage is an oil & filter change.

Thanks, I do a lot of the work but not near what I used to. The older I get, the more work I farm out. Just too busy at with work, kids, a shrinking garage with no room to work, and lastly the daggone heat here. This car is more of a "bolt-on" project whereas my other baby has a ton of fabrication and engineering in it.

cut to fit a sheet expanded metal from Home Depot, door edge guard around the edges and then spray the whole thing in Duplicolor truck bed liner. Its that simple.

No 2 plastic "push pins" on top.

I have now purchased the materials for the grill. I have a couple of questions.

1. How do you attach the lower grill section?

2. Are the two push pins and the two screws holding the Cobra emblem enough to hold the upper section in place?

Thanks. Jg

The lower, three sectioned grill is a grill made by Roush specifically for that Front Fascia. I did not make that.

Yes. No problems for years. I actually used to have the grill angled more forward and only used the two top push pins and no emblem in the grill at all. Before cutting your grill, make a cardboard pattern of the opening and use it as a stencil.
