Do the 04 Cobra's run better with synthetic oil or traditional? And what weight?

I use synthetic oil, 5w-30 or 5w-40.

If the product has the Ford Certification printed on the back it may be suitable for use.

I used to run Royal Purple, until the cost increase. Local prices now at $12.00/qt.
Redline is also a good product.

AMSOIL also expensive but I can get a good deal on it since I know a dealer.
If you go to amsoil web site they do comparisons of many oils to show how their oil stacks up. Good information.

I have used Mobil 1, as well as Penzoil synthetic.

Quaker state may be okay. (They made an oil contianing graphite which caused engine damage a few years ago. That leads me to wonder what is in the other oils they manufacture. Same goes for Castrol brand since they were known for using reconditioned oil made from used engine oil as a stock base.)

I do believe there was a write up in consumer reports on engine oils. If you can find it that may serve you well in selecting one of the common major brands.
