Engine Problems

Hi, I have a 96 Mystic Cobra & I'm having some engine issures. My engine light came on & the guy said it was the 4th plug. He said it could be a injector problem. It's been really cold here in Indy & when I went to start it at 0 degrees, the light came on. Have you got any suggestions? It idels alittle rough, but not much & I still have alot of power.

Thanks for any help.

the guy that said it was the injectors, where is he from? Did he pull the CEL code? If so, what code did it throw? If not, go by a auto parts store and have them hook it up to their code reader.

He is from Greenwood, In. Yes he pulled up a code & it said the 4th cylinder.
He shut the light off & is hoping it's just from me starting it in the cold. I can get the code from him. I just need some advice. He does really good work but I just want another opinion. Thanks for looking at my post.

When is the last time the plugs were changed? I would change plugs first off, that is not too expensive, and wouldn't hurt. It could be the wires, too. Know how old they are? If the code comes back, that is where I would start. It takes three heat cycles for the code to come back, if it will.

Thanks for the advice. I honestly don't know how old the plugs are. I'd say the original. I only have 31,000 miles. I seriously doubt the kid I bought it from did any engine work. I certainly appreciate you taking the time to answer my post.
