Horsepower on my 01.

In 2008
302.9 hp
304.4 tq

Changes since then.
New M-6007-A46NA, M-6550-t46, SCT hand held, newer irs with 3.90 and Maximum Motorsports bushings, Steeda springs.

New dyno. A different company.

283.84 hp
292.31 tq

Mods in total.
JLT CAI, BBK Twin 65tb, BBk Long tubes, BBk Catted x-pipe, Magnaflow mufflers, Two JLT oil separators and one Steeda, Y2K R Rims with 275/35 18, one inch spacers out back

I am sort of disappointed in the numbers. I realize different each dyno is different but this is a little bizarre. Any suggestions??

See if both used SAE smoothing or not, I bet the higher one did not. The SAE numbers are more correct. Or the second dyno was a mustang dyno which dyno's less than other chasis dyno's.

uncorrected numbers from the dyno were 298 and 307

Still I am confused though.

Just a little concerned. With the new engine and the cams and the sct tuner I would expect something more. The difference between dynos I expect but still I am told to expect a fair amount more than what I have.

Those are respectable numbers for your mods. getting to 300 rwhp is not easy on a naturally aspirated engine with just a few mods.

Thing that just bugs me...the high lift cam kit and less of the bolt ons is getting forty and fifty more hp than I am getting...in mach ones and I have had several people tell me that I should be getting noticeably more under the circumstances. With the old engine with lots of miles I have virtually the same as the new crate engine with high lift cams and a hand held tuner. Just doesn't seem like it should be this way. The cams and tuner are the add on additions but the engine is the crate from Ford with the pretty blue valve covers. Hate that it took the local shop ten and a half months to get it and install it after the insurance company gave them the check.

Just kind of bummed. Clutch goes in shortly though.

I with you,I would expect to see higher #'s with the cam change.
I have a 98 cobra that I had to replace the short block almost 2 years ago in which is the same as you listed.We reused everything from the old engine including the cams.It had a cold air kit,BBK 65mm tb,mac long tubes,non-catted with turn downs at the axels.
It went from the motor shop straight to Dan at pro-dyno with no break-in time on it except what it took to get it on the trailer it put down 292hp and 301tq.I don't know if that was corrected or not but if not deduct about 6 from each number.
The old engine with a ass load of miles on it put down 301hp and 302tq.I was alittle let down that the new motor made less but with no break-in time it was no big deal.
During my second race at Road Atlanta going down the back straight away I felt the motor break-in and she ran like a bat out of hell after that.It was never dynoed again so I don't know what the new #'s would be but I know it had more, that is right up to the oil pump locked six month's ago.Now I'm on a completly new engine.

Is what is in the car, at least to the best of my less than great eye sight. These are from the passenger side as it seemed to be easier to get to. Still s little bit of a pain and I think I let out some freon by accident. Oh well, any one have an idea on these numbers?

Got to find out which cams these are, I do not think they are the fr 500 from the kit I bought.
