Autocross at Rockford Speedway

I'm planning to attend the Madison Sports Car Club's autocross, June 15 at Rockford Speedway.

For anyone interested in autocrossing this is a fun, helpful group that I highly recommend to beginners or anyone that wants to have fun while autocrossing.

I just couldn't swing the "Experience" this year. I'm there in spirit though!

You missed a great day! There was '03 Cobra entered (hopefully he'll join the club ). He was a rookie, but he showed steady improvement throughout the day. I think a new car with 390+hp is a bit intimidating for anyone.

I won my class, A-Modified, again. This time it was a slam dunk since I was the only one there. I prefer to think that I scared off my competition

Yes, they're based in Madison, WI. They're also part of the Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs.

Thanks, Tony, but as a certain Mr. Foyt once said, "I'd rather be lucky than good any day!"

same here ---- couldn't swing it -- but hopefully we will make the Iowa event in July -- Tim's company has been extremely busy -- he's even working today !! =(

anyway -- yup - I hear you .... when we first had the supercharger installed in Trigger, going from approximately 300 rwhp (modified --) to 440 rwhp I was a bit intimidated myself... it scared me at first and I wondered what the heck I had done to my "baby".....

but -- not anymore!! I'd do it again in a second.....
this is the fastest and the best car I have ever owned.... I love it!!

and congrats on your win --
yup - you scared me off..... I couldn't compete against you Tom..... your way over my league..... but I'll get there someday, right?
