Anyone back from VIR yet?

Just wondering how American Iron went, since I couldn't make it.

I ran in one of the HPDE groups on Saturday, but not Sunday. In the Saturday race, Schlickenmeyer won the AIX, Hoover cam in first and Shugg came in second. Lesnewski wrecked in qualifying, repaired and got into the race coming from the back to place well, not sure exactly where. I'll let the racers give more detail.

Sat, Hoover, Shugg,Anderson

Sun, Hoover,Shugg, Anderson

I finished 6th sat and 5th sun. I was able to knock off 4 seconds on my lap times fom Sat to Sun. I hope to get some videos uploaded tonight and send them to Pantas.

Jim can chime in with the AIX results.

Thanks guys. It will be tough to get to the podium. There are some VERY talented people ahead of me. Congrats to Hoover and Schlick for a sweep this weekend.

I would also like to thank Dan Schlickenmyer and Hoovy for all their advice this weekend. They were the reason for the better lap times Sunday. Class act guys!!!

Hey John, Thanks for the use of your helmet on Sunday! I was very impressed with your driving on Sat and Sun,I think with a little more car improvements and the installation of some good Griggs stuff your time to shine is in the near future!!!!!!! I had a great time! Thanks to all especially Shugg for not leaving a black o-ring when he had the chance. See everyone at Lowes!

Hey, Hoov and Pantas...............finally a track where I had some seat time and glad to say you did not lap me during the features on Saturday and Sunday. Hey, 1:52 in a bone stock 289 with an old man driving is really not that bad. What fun!

Also, Jim Killian is just a sample of what is to come with the early models. If I can get them to come play with us it will be interesting.

Forget that stuff................if you missed my wife's ham on Saturday nite, you had a bad weekend. Just ask Jim, David and even Dan!

Lowes is next, and a few surprises from the early model guys!!!!!

Congratulations Dan and James. GRiggs West is getting ready for the Reno event this coming weekend, hopefully we will have the same results.
