flex in 99 vert- subframes and what else?

I'd like to tighten up the 99 convertible. It has been suggested that I weld on subframe connectors, I'm guessing that means the double cross subframes. I see Kenny Brown is offering the "Extreme Matrix Sub-Frame System" I can't tell from the picture on the web what is included. However, wouldn't the Chassic Support Kit be better?

I'm a maximum motorsports fanatic myself...

but to stiffen the chassis, the two thing I would recommend are definitely full lenght sub-frame connectors, and a strut tower brace. a shock tower bar in the trunk is good too, but I don't know if that would work in a vert.

The Maximum Motorsports full length sub-frame connectors are beefier than the Kenny Brown IMO. The Kenny Brown Extreme matrix comes with three items, the Sub-frame connectors, jacking rails (two metal bars that go against the lip by the door) and the active matrix bar that connects the rail and the sub-frame connectors... or maybe its easier for me to show you...everything in Red is part of the Kenny Brown Extreme matrix. The inner bar with the T in the middle is the Sub-frame connector, the rail on out parts of the car is the jacking rail (so you can jack the car up with it) and the zig-zap bar is the ative matrix.

Definitely go with something beefier than the KB stuff. There's a thread in the AutoX/Road Racing section that shows the MM and KB stuff side by side. It's obvious which one is stronger.

I will be selling my own (BMS) connectors in the next month. They are made of the same materials as MM's shorter connectors and Griggs connectors. MM uses a little thinner wall, but larger dimension in their full length connectors.

If you don't buy mine, buy MM or Griggs. You have a 'vert, you need some strength under there.

great pic of the SFC's! Me, I run the KB SFC's and I have no body flex at all. I also have the 4 point lower chasis brace, and strut tower brace..... but I also have a coupe. I think Tom would be one of if not the best to answer vert questions as he had a vert (if it still classified as that ) that ate up the track.... and anyone on it.

but then again, without all that caffeine in his system he may not have that edge anymore

That is TOOOO funny!!!

My car also had the in-floor subs. That really made a huge difference! Oh yeah, and a full cage. That pretty much took all the flex out of it.

You have seen the latest picture of it, right?

I still think it looked better when I saw it in person tho.... me thinks you and I have to talk before you do your next mods

Subframe connectors, front and rear strut tower braces, lower chassis brace, and if you are interested, a street cage.
