Much difference 65mm to 70mm?

I'm building a 92 coupe track car using the 345HP FRPP crate engine with 93 style Cobra upper & lowers, polished runners, matched injectors, 70mm mass air, and the Cobra computer. What's the generally preffered TB? FRPP or BBK or Edelbrock or Holley? Is there much improvement from 65mm to 70mm? Any helpful hints would be appreciated. This will be more track than street but will see occasional cruise nights, mountain road trips, MCA / regional club events.

Ken, the 70mm throttle body will give you better power. Granted it is minimal. Any one of the companies will give you a good product. I tend to stick with FRPP stuff. Your engine is an air pump and the more air that it can flow the more power you will make. Intake restrictions make it so that your car feels like its breathing through a straw. You should also look into a larger mass air meter.

I went with the BBK 70mm on my 94. Installed it without a hitch, seems like a good piece. I think the general consensus is to go with a bigger mass air than T/B, although I can't say why that is? Go with the C&L 76mm + power pipe combo. I think thats one of the cheapest combo's out there, and my cousin was pretty happy with the package he picked up.
