93 Cobra Transmission Question.

I am posting this question for a friend, please post if you have any clues as what this may be.

when pushing in the clutch, about 3/4 of the way down, there is a snapping sound comming from the bell housing. But the clutch acts normal, and there are no slipping or other problems. Any clue as what would cause this?

thanks

Is the cable hitting the floor? Either that or the ball the fork pivots on need may need some grease.
