SP-Shenandoah AI Results??

Anyone have results from the weekend? I wasn't able to keep track of the racing while running HPDE. I think Beau and the orange 69 car ran well, though.

Beau won both AI races with Brian Smith (orange SN95) finishing 2nd and Jesse White (black #29 SS) taking 3rd in his first race. Saturday's race was quite a nailbiter with Brian driving like a madman and pulling away quickly from the start. Near the end Beau started to slowly close the gap, then suddenly he was there and made a great pass that started at the Ramming Site and ended at the Hook. I suspect Brian cooked his tires, especially since the Torsen was smoking the inside tire coming out of the tighter turns. Sunday's finishing order was the same except Christian Shriver (red/black #70 '66 Mustang coupe) started from the back after completing his comp eval Sunday morning and finished behind Jesse (where he qualified). After putting a couple slower CMC cars behind him in the first few corners, Christian spent a number of laps fighting to get by the #17 blue CMC Camaro, otherwise he might have been able to dice a bit with Jesse. He didn't want to get too aggressive passing in his very first race so he had to wait until the overdriven but more powerful Camaro's tires went away and the driver finally gave him a clear opening at Stonehouse.

Thanks for the writeup. Glad to see Christian made it out there in his 66 hardtop. Congrats to all the racers! I can't wait to get out there!

What do you mean step it up? If I do recall, the last time we raced each other you came out the victor. The time before that, I beat you by just a hair. Just bring what you have, that way I at least have a chance. I can't wait until Hyper-fest. How many guys are coming from your neck of the woods.

uhhh, too late, as of today I now have a tubular K-frame to put in my car and a set of rear control arms w/ the rod ends instead of my stock units. And if I get all the work done I planned on I will be like 100lbs. lighter.

I think there will only be 3 other guys from up here entering, but I don't think any of them have ever been to Summitt.

You've obviously never seen Beau at an awards party.

The fact that you are going to attend a function called Hyper-Fest is enough to strip you of your manhood where I am from......to each his own.

I guess this is one time when it turned out to be a good thing that your car is illegal in AI then.
