AV8SS racing at BeaveRun then Nashville on Labor Day

The AV8SS will be making a stop at BeaveRun on August 6-7 as part of the Muscle Car weekend. In addition to the AV8SS cars there will be a ShifterKart race as well as a Stock Car race. Qualifying on Saturday and Races on Sunday.

AV8SS will run at Nashville Superspeedway on Labor Day weekend. They are offering $4k cash purse and nearly $10K in total awards, yes that is $10,000!

If anyone comes out to either of these events please stop by and say hello, Mark Wilson and I will be at both with the #29 car ready to race, and hopefully win!

For more information on either event please visit the AV8SS website for details!

We're back from BR. It was a great weekend, great weather and some very very close racing.

I'll have a full report later this week but the short of it is:

1st-Pete Johns
2nd-Wilson/Tone
3rd-Barry Kline

The fight in the top 4 was bumper to bumper for nearly the entire 30 minute (green to checkered flags) in the first race and in the second race Johns and myself were nose to tail for another 30 minutes.

A very good time.

Nashville should be exciting, and I urge you guys to suck it up, make the drive to come out either to race or participate in the open track session.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to metion that we brought home $700 for our second place finish.

Brian also failed to mention that we won $100 in Nitto bucks, KB Contigency money and if you can believe it Brian won the Sportsmanship award which gives us complimentary entry into the next event! So we actually came home with over $1k in cash and prizes and some memories that are priceless! AND that was for finishing second!

Av8ss At Nashville Race/open Track

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nashville Superspeedway Sept. 3/4 with AV8SS Racers
To all Racers,Open Track Participants and fans of road racing, please come join us for the second to last American V-8 Supercar Series (AV8SS) weekend on Sept. 3/4 at the beautiful Nashville Superspeedway complex. Be there for a great weekend of spectating and competing with the added benefit of the great Nashville area and all it has to offer for the rest of the family. As Monday is a holiday, you do not even have to hurry home after Saturday and Sundays festivities at the track. We will be running a modified "roval" utilizing the high banks of turns 3 and 4.

Racers- We will have dedicated slots all weekend for practice and qualifying but the track will be open to you all day, both days. We will again have a "double header" race format on Sunday. Again, you will have access to the track all day both days! We are offering this for $200.00 per day or $350.00 for the entire weekend! This will include a family picnic at the track Saturday evening. Eligible drivers are those that possess a current racing license from any recognized and sanctioned road race organization. Purse money and prizes will be in excess of $4000.00. For those participants who would like to race but do not have a racing license, a competition school will be held on Saturday with graduates receiving a provisional license for Sunday. Please contact Dan Schlickenmyer directly at Dans@av8ss.com or call 757-561-1110 to enroll in the competition school.

Open Track Participants- You will also have unlimited use of the track except for the race car only sessions which will only account for about 2 hours a day! We are offering this for $125.00 per day or $225.00 for the entire weekend. You too are invited to the picnic. Two full days of open track and free food too. Such a deal. Convertible requirements will include a roll bar and safety harness with helmets.

Car instruction- We will have a limited number of slots for those wishing to ride with an instructor. The price will be $250.00 for the weekend.

Test and tune- Even if you do not have an AV8SS legal car but do have a race car, come out and dial your car in for future events. How else could you get so much track time for so little money? the cost will be the same as for the racing group.

Our first event at the facility was a great success. The track staff and safety crews are second to none as it is the same crew that host the IRL and Busch events. Our first event was absolutely incident free. If you haven't been to this venue I think you will be surprised how good a "roval" can be.

Admission for all is free!!!!!!!!! Camping is available as are garages.

Registration will be open shortly at www.av8ss.com .

Questions? E-mail me at Dans@av8ss.com or call 757-561-1110.
