To set the story up:

A couple weeks ago a few guys and myself were cruising down Franklin Blvd. in Gastonia as we normally do, and this TransAm drives up beside us and starts jumping at us. I didn't race him that night. We pulled into Burger King parking lot and just socialized there for a while and he pulls up and we start talking about the cars. I told him what I had and at the time I only had the intake and exhaust done. He explained his had a 150 shot, intake and 3" cat-back.

So last Friday (2-11) when I get my pulley's and tune done, I head back out to Franklin and we set at Burger King for a while. I had to be at work at mid-night that night so I cruise down Franklin to get onto I-85, I notice that a couple of TransAms were turning around so I rev'd at them and they followed me!
I got in the turning lane and we head out to I-85, while going down the ramp I'm just cruising along and he flys past me in the emergency lane (the other TransAms stay back). So I kick it and catch up with him. I down shift and throw it in 3rd and keep it there while he slows down beside me. He jumps a couple of times, but I just wait until he kicks it, I wasn't going to let him have any excuses! He kicks it and I hammer the gas and we're off from a 60mph roll. He got the jump on me because I let him take off first, but once I hit the gas and the supercharger started to wined up I was pulling away from him and there was no looking back. I shifted into fourth and was still going strong. I know his car is an automatic, but I feel I drove pretty darn good to beat him. He didn't have to shift, just push a little button of horsepower! I have no idea how fast we got up to, but I do know that I got to work a lot faster that night!:D

Great kill story. Glad to hear it. Have a friend with a WS6 and i give him the jump and still pull by him every time. He thinks nothing can run with his car. He thinks im running nos or some other tricks. Way to keep those GM boys in check.

nice work  I would've thought a T/A w/150shot would've been a better run...
