'01 cobra rattle noise

bought the car with 9,500 on it and now it has 38,000 miles and i had a noise on cold start up and ford and svt said not to worry! now i'm worried it's getting noisy as hell all the time even when its hot. what about this hydralic cam chain tensioner? any suggestions?

Cam, doubt it? Tensioner, very possible but it is hard to diagnose something without a little more specifics. You need to single out where the noise is coming from first.

listened to it last nite and it sounds like it's right under the intake manifold. at idle it's perfectly quiet and the minute you rev it, it sounds like there is something rattling around inside especially when you return back to idle.

that's exactly what happened to mine, it was the tensioner.
