98 Cobra Convertible Seat Belts
My 98 Cobra Conv. has a problem with both front seat belts where they do not 'lock' when pulled suddenly. They used to work fine.
Has anyone else experienced this problem. Are there aftermarket replacements available of does another year of mustang fit? Thanks Phil |

both of them do it? sounds like you have a twist in it, somewhere. One of my rear belts does this, and I am pretty sure it is a twist. You could always try finding some in a junk yard, any Mustang seat belts from that era would work. I would say 96-98 belts would be the same.

Thanks - No twist in belts, looks like the mechanism where the belts roll in.

The retractor mechanism does wear out. You can try a Ford parts dealer and see if they can find one for you.
